Savings thanks to MIM/FIM

Through automated and reused information in existing systems, significant efficiency occurs. The introduction of the MIM/FIM creates substantial savings that by far outweigh the investment costs. Major savings can be made after implementing MIM/FIM. I.e. in a municipality with 20 000 students, FIM corresponds to about five full-time employees.

When introducing an e-mail systems with 30 000 users, five full-time administrators normally is required, but thanks to MIM/FIM they are reduced to one person.

Savings Effects converted into money:

The Burton Group estimates that the annual cost for administration in an organization with 25 000 network users, is approximately 250 000 €. FIM reduces that cost to 360 00€ per year, resulting in a saving of over 200 000 € per year.

Giga Information Group estimates organizational savings of about 1 50 €/user/year on the synchronization of directory services, and about 6 40 € / e-mail list/year through improved management of mailing lists. They also expect annual cost savings of 560 00 € for 1 000 users through better IT efficiency and reduced help desk costs by 60 €/user annually.
